The purpose of the art gallery
The purpose of the art gallery is to become an Art Museum in the future through proudly and adoringly preserving and exhibiting Myanmar traditional paintings in oil, water and ink sketches created with passion by Myanmar classical and oldest Great Artist U San Hlaing (who passed away at aged 93), a well-known warrior of Independence . (We had already preserved a total of 442 paintings of his own at this gallery.)
Likewise, we proudly exhibit all kinds of exquisite paintings drawn by other Myanmar classic and great artists and well-known male and female painters.
We have arranged reasonable price for art lovers and art collectors to buy the all paintings exhibited, except for those that will be archived for the Anawrahta art gallery.
Plus, we also exhibit rare and precious printed books and information papers published by different countries to learn more about the history related to the Art as well as biography of world famous painters and their famous artworks.
There are over 900 paintings (including paintings that are to be preserved and paintings for sale) in the gallery. For the convenience of our customers, all these paintings are arranged be browsed and selected from a big LED screen or from the catalogues comfortably and easily.
The art gallery also opens from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm every day for visitors for coming to choose their favorite paintings in person.
We have a variety of utility souvenirs created with the visual artworks of multiple famous paintings for sales. Those who value Arts and who are inspired to keep them as part of their daily lives.
