1939 He was born on June 18 in Kyu Farm Village, Pound Township. In 1959, he passed the university matriculation with an additional subject in painting, and in 1964, he received a bachelor of arts degree from Yangon University. In 1969, he achieved the Master of Arts qualification. From 1965 to 1972, he worked as a tuitor in Burmese language departmet in Mandalay University of Medicine Mandalay Agricultural University, University of Education and also at the Workers’ College. From 1972 to 1974, he studied painting at the National Institute of Fine Arts in Paris, France. In 1984 – 1986, he had the opportunity to study art for the second time.
From 1976 to 1982, an art lecturer at the University of Education, from 1983 to 1985, the principal of Yangon Art and Sculpture School. From 1985 to 1999, Art Research Officer at the Department of Fine Arts. Also, served as Deputy Director, Vice Rector of Cultural University.
Since 1964, the public newspaper Mirror, Myanmar light, Doet Kyaung Thar, Pan, Shumawa, Ngwe Tar Yi, Phyu Ni Nyo Pyar, he wrote many articles on arts. He served as the editor-in-chief of ‘Pan’ magazine and ‘Hla Pa’ magazine. His another pen name is ‘Win Pa’. In 1976, he published the book “Paris Painting Tour”.
